Men's usage for Yomim Noro'im - 5784 (2023)
Twice a year (Erev Rosh Hashanah and Erev Yom Kippur), the Wallerstein Mikvah is open for men.
The Mikvah Emunah Society of Greater Washington (MES) is pleased to offer use of the Wallerstein Mikvah in Kemp Mill to men on Erev Rosh Hashanah and Erev Yom Kippur 5784.
- There will be no showers for use at the mikvah. Everyone must shower at home prior to arriving at the mikvah.
- Bring a towel with you. The mikvah is not able to provide towels for men’s usage.
- Time in the mikvah is limited to 1½ minutes per user. If you have a minhag that requires more time, please discuss this with your rabbi. We need to adhere to this time frame to maximize access for all.
DATES AND TIMES
- Erev Rosh Hashanah – Friday, September 15, 7:30 AM – 2:00 PM sharp
- Erev Yom Kippur – Sunday, September 24, 7:30 AM – 2:00 PM sharp
FEES
- Members of MES (those who have paid $360 in membership from Jan. 2023-Dec. 2023) may use the mikvah for free.
- The non-member fee is $20.00 per person, per use. Students pay $10.00
VOLUNTEERS
Men (high school-age and up) are needed to help out at the mikvah throughout both days. If you can volunteer an hour or more of time, either for one day or both days, please be in touch with Howie Schulman at 301-213- 2429 (call or text) or email: drhowies@gmail.com
